Earlier this evening the “ProBoards Abuse Department”  sent me an email alerting me that the site was in breach of it’s Terms of Service, and Community Guidelines by allowing subject matter that they deem inappropriate to be showcased on the forum. As a writer, this angered me. They are pretty much telling me that if I don’t clean up the stories posted on the forum within 48 hours, they will delete the forum in it’s entirely. I am not okay with that. I am not okay with going in and censoring anyone’s creativity and I am not going to do it. So instead I am going to switch things up a bit. 

From this moment on, The AAR Fiction is completely Tumblr based. After thinking about it I came to the conclusion that it is the only way to make everyone happy. I mean, I can always look for alternative forum based websites to move the site to, but that would mean having everyone who had already signed up for one site to go sign up for another. It is all kind of a pain in the ass if you ask me, and I am pretty sure you guys would feel the same way. See, I am on your team. 

Also I figured that you guys already have Tumblr accounts and it would be about 100 times easier for you to use a service that you are already fully comfortable with rather than try and figure out yet another set up.

Pretty much all you will need to do is make a new blog with your existing account and you are ready to go! What is also good about this change is that you guys can set up the blog for your stories any way you want. It will be like having your own personal webiste customized however you want for each specific story. 

What we will do is follow all new story blogs and when we see updates to stories on our dash, we will update you! That way you guys won’t have to follow a million different story blogs if you don’t want to. Just us. But still get all of the updates on new stories and story updates! We will also list a link to every story in the community so all new followers can discover every story as quickly and as easily as possible. 

We want to make this all as quick and painless as we can for you guys. We already understand how big of an inconvenience changing up everything is going to be for everyone but protecting the creativity and freedom of our writers is what is most important. We hope that this small mishap will not lose us any followers, writers, or participators. In the end this will make everything about a million times better, at least that is our hope. 

So please bear with us as we get the new format up and running. We promise to make it as easy and straightforward as we can so you all don’t have have to be put through any more issues in the future.

Here is the list of stories featured on the site so far. IMPORTANT! If you are moving your story from the forum to Tumblr please do not forget to send us the URL to the new home of your story so we can have it listed for everyone to enjoy! 

ALSO! This is extremely important! Since no changes will be made to the forum per the request of ProBoards, the forum will be deleted in less than 48 hours. If you have a story featured over there and not saved to your computer or to your Tumblr blog it WILL be lost after the deletion. Go save your work NOW so you don’t lose it!
